Standing DB Shoulder Press

  • 3sets 10 reps (10×3)
  • 80lb DB

 

Weighted Pull-Ups

  • 1×5
  • 45lb DB
  • 1×5
  • 35lb DB

 

So far my Smolov experiment to give myself strength boost is going well.  I know this cycle of loading is good for boosting squats, dealifts, and bench press.  I wonder if it can be used to get a person to be able to do a pull-up when they previously could not.   Of course one would have to be able to progress and back off the loads to get the desired effect.  It does give food for thought  though.  I may have a client willing to try the experiment.
